Harmonix y MTV Games hicieron su aparición en la conferencia de Microsoft armados con la info que todos queríamos saber. La lista completa de canciones para Rock Band 2 tendrá más de 100 pistas de las cuales 84 vendrán con el disco al momento de lanzamiento y otras 20 en forma de contenido descargable gratuito después del lanzamiento.

Entre las canciones nuevas se suman Pearl Jam, Metallica, Allman Brothers, Motorhead, Devo, Jane’s Addiction, Megadeth, Paramore, y Modest Mouse a la lista de artistas. AC/DC hará la primera aparición en un juego de ritmo con “Let There Be Rock”, y hasta Guns N’ Roses pondrá una canción de su nuevo album Chinese Democracy, “Shackler’s Revenge”. “Tangled Up In Blue” de Bob Dylan también estará en la lista.

Entre las canciones de Rock Band 1 y 2, la plataforma del juego tendrá más de 500 canciones disponibles. Harmonix confirmó que Rock Band 2 tendrá la opción de “exportar disco”, la cual permitirá a los usuarios del juego original el pasar sus canciones de RB a RB2 y actualizarlas al modo de juego nuevo.
